Successful Treatment of Tracheo-innominate Artery Fistula with Endovascular Stent Graft: A Case Report with Literature Review
Tracheo-innominate artery fistula (TIF) is an uncommon complication but with high mortality following tracheostomy.
Definitive treatment of TIF requires median sternotomy and ligation of the innominate artery. However, most of the patients
have considerable comorbidity and unstable hemodynamic status which may not suitable for open repair. The authors report a successful management of TIF in a high surgical risk patient with endovascular stent grafting.
