When angiography leaves uncertainty, IVUS and OCT can change the PCI strategy. Cost-Utility Analysis of Smart Litho Plus versus Standard Electromagnetic Extracorporeal Shock Wave Lithotripsy for Renal Calculi Treatment in Thailand
Can a cheaper lithotripter ultimately cost more? This Thai cost-utility analysis links a 64% versus 44% stone-free rate to fewer salvage procedures, lower total costs, and 6.15 additional QALYs with the imported ESWL system, showing why procurement decisions should look beyond purchase price.
