Structured home exercise offers a practical way to support early recovery from severe Bell"s palsy. In this assessor-blinded randomized trial of 60 patients, a program combining mime therapy, Kabat facilitation, and self-monitoring achieved better three-month facial function and disability outcomes than standard exercises.
Could injection site make intravitreal treatment more comfortable? In this six-arm randomized trial of 191 injections, the inferonasal site produced the lowest immediate pain scores, while lower-quadrant injections were generally better tolerated than upper-quadrant injections, offering a simple question with direct relevance to everyday practice.
Community screening for probable sarcopenia may become more practical with a score built from information already available in routine assessment. Developed in 1,474 older adults, the tool brings together sex, age, BMI, mobility, and SARC-F to help focus attention on those who may need fuller evaluation.
The early response to selective nerve-root block was substantial in this prospective series of 64 patients with lumbar radiculopathy.
