Hypoglycemia Screening Before Discharge in Asymptomatic Newborns Identified as Being at Risk

There is a high incidence of hypoglycemia among asymptomatic neonates identified as being at risk before discharge. Asymptomatic neonates with risk factors for hypoglycemia and a discharge weight of ≤2,500 g should be screened for hypoglycemia at 48 to 60 hours of age.

Survival Analysis of Optimal Management in Incurable Gastric Cancer with Gastric Outlet Obstruction: A Two-Center Retrospective Study in Thailand

Among incurable gastric cancer patients underwent resection, gastrojejunostomy, or jejunostomy (FJ)/naso-jejunostomy (NJ) tube placement for gastric outlet obstruction relief, the present study found no significant difference in the overall survival or overall complications. Both resection and gastrojejunostomy bypass are effective in relieving obstruction and yield comparable outcomes.

Perioperative Renal Function Following Suprarenal Aortic Cross-Clamping Without Renal Perfusion in Open Surgical Repair for Juxtarenal Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm

The suprarenal aortic cross-clamping without intraoperative renal artery perfusion can be utilized in the open surgical repair (OSR) for juxtarenal abdominal aortic aneurysm (JAAA) without causing harmful effects on renal function. However, minimizing renal ischemia duration remains crucial to reducing the risk of complications.
