HIGHLIGHTED ARTICLE
In 420 patients with type 2 diabetes after PCI for acute coronary syndrome, glycemic targets were widely achieved, yet fewer than 20% met LDL-C goals. This striking gap highlights missed opportunities in lipid optimization and underscores the need for more aggressive, system-level strategies in secondary cardiovascular prevention.

Gestational diabetes was associated with increased fetal posterior lateral ventricle width at 29-32 weeks, correlating with maternal HbA1c levels. Although perinatal outcomes were similar, the findings suggest subtle metabolic effects on fetal brain development and identify a potential imaging marker warranting longitudinal follow-up.

A structured carbohydrate supplementation protocol significantly reduced intradialytic hypoglycemia in 113 hemodialysis patients. This pragmatic, low-cost intervention offers an immediately implementable strategy to improve metabolic safety in dialysis units and highlights the value of standardized nutritional support in high-risk populations.

Adding biofeedback to pelvic floor muscle training increased early improvement in stress urinary incontinence at four weeks, though long-term outcomes were similar. Biofeedback appears to accelerate initial response rather than provide sustained superiority, refining expectations for conservative management strategies.

Sexual function improved significantly between six and twelve weeks postpartum, with minimal lasting differences between vaginal and cesarean delivery. These findings challenge common assumptions about long-term delivery-related dysfunction and provide evidence-based reassurance for postpartum counseling.
