Five minutes of forced-air prewarming reduced the early fall in core temperature during gynecologic surgery under combined general and epidural anesthesia. The randomized trial found a 0.44°C smaller temperature decline at 60 minutes, offering practical evidence on preserving body heat when preparation time is short.
Hepatitis B screening in Chumphon identified 462 previously undiagnosed infections. Among patients assessed for fibrosis, higher HBV DNA levels were associated with higher APRI scores. The study follows the route from community detection to liver assessment and antiviral treatment, offering a detailed view of screening in practice.
A review of 237 cervical excisions at Hatyai Hospital linked positive margins to endocervical glandular involvement, incomplete colposcopic visualization, and procedures performed by residents. The findings draw attention to lesion assessment and operative experience, providing a focused account of where cervical excision may leave disease at the margins.
Direct admission to the catheterization laboratory was associated with faster treatment in Bangkok’s emergency medical network. In this prospective comparison, the median interval from STEMI diagnosis to coronary wire crossing was 87 minutes with D-Cath and 106 minutes with conventional referral, documenting a shorter route to intervention.
At 18 weeks of pregnancy, placenta percreta caused fundal rupture of a uterus with no previous surgical scar. Operative findings and histopathology documented the lesion after a presentation with shock and abdominal pain. This case brings an easily overlooked obstetric cause of intra-abdominal hemorrhage into sharp clinical focus.
